Dear Mr Hutchison
CONSIDERATION OF PETITION PE1140
Public Petitions Committee considered the above petition at its meeting on Tuesday 19 May.
The Committee agreed to close the petition on the grounds that Transport Scotland had confirmed that it expected improvement works on the A82 to begin in 2010/11. Further, the Scottish Government is committed to making further investments and improvements to the A82 through the Strategic Transport Projects Review. In closing the petition, the Committee agreed to invite Transport Scotland to keep the petitioner informed of the progress of the planned works.
For your information, a copy of the Official Report of the meeting will be available on the Parliament’s website on 1 June.
Any hard copy signatures submitted in support of your petition will be confidentially destroyed 2 months from today’s date unless you request their return prior to that date.
Please contact me should you have any queries.
Yours sincerely
Eileen Martin
